New York Metropolis’s Black Lives Matter mural exterior Trump Tower was vandalized for the second time in 24 hours on Saturday, and the third time within the final week.
Two ladies had been arrested on Saturday afternoon after vandalizing the mural. The suspects, Edmee Chavannes, 39, and Bevelyn Beatty, 29, had been taken into custody and charged with prison mischief, the NYPD informed NBC information in an e mail. The ladies, each of Staten Island, tried to cowl the yellow message with black paint, which had simply been repainted after being vandalized on Friday.
Video of the incident, posted on Instagram by the Police Benevolent Affiliation of New York Metropolis, reveals the police making an attempt to arrest one of many ladies as she smeared black paint throughout the mural. The girl is heard on the video repeatedly screaming “Refund the police” and “Jesus issues.”
